About this place
Buile Hill Park Playground is a well-loved, fully enclosed play area within Buile Hill Park in Salford, and it's been a favourite with local families for decades. The playground is split into two distinct sections, so kids of different ages each get a space that suits them, rather than everyone piling onto the same equipment.
The younger children's area has toddler swings, a couple of climbing frames with slides, and a sandpit complete with a sit-on digger, which tends to be a big hit. Older kids get a much larger climbing frame, a huge slide, standard swings, a large swing, and a mini zip line to keep them busy. An ice cream van also makes appearances, which is always a welcome bonus on a sunny day.
The playground is open around the clock, every day of the week, so there's no need to rush. It can get busy, particularly when the weather is good, so earlier visits on weekdays tend to be a bit quieter if you prefer a bit more space.
