Looking for a free family activity day this May half term? 🌟
Castleford College is hosting its free “May-Hem” event on Wednesday 27th May with a full day of hands-on activities, workshops and creative sessions for children aged around 5–14.
There’ll be activities delivered by local Learning Destinations alongside workshops from talented FE tutors, with some bookable sessions expected to be announced closer to the event 👀
Families are encouraged to bring a picnic and make a day of it, with plenty happening throughout the event. Open to both CU and non-CU members, so everyone is welcome!

- The event runs 10:00 to 14:00 only, so arrive promptly to catch everything.
- Entirely free entry, no need to budget for tickets on the day.
- Children aged 5-14 must have an adult with them at all times.
- Castleford College can get busy for popular events, so allow time to park.
- Younger or older siblings outside the 5-14 range may have less to do, but are still welcome to attend.
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
