Ever wondered what happens to museum collections that aren't on display?
This summer, step behind the scenes at Leeds Discovery Centre for a fascinating guided tour of one of the UK's most impressive museum storage facilities.
Home to more than 1.3 million objects, the collection includes everything from ancient artefacts and wildlife specimens to historic toys, textiles, telephones, masks and even a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite. Every tour offers the chance to discover hidden treasures and hear the stories behind some of Leeds Museums & Galleries' most remarkable collections.
Perfect for curious children and adults alike, these one-hour tours are a unique way to explore parts of the museum collection that aren't usually open to the public.
Visitors can see everything from toucans to telephones, meteorites and tours take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 11am and 1pm between July 30 and 29th August 29.
