About this event
Bean Planting is a free, drop-in session held in the Walled Garden at Temple Newsam Estate, running on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th May from 1pm to 3pm each day. Children and adults get hands-on time with members of the gardening team, learning how to prepare soil, sow seeds and care for their plants.
All seeds, tools and materials are provided, so you just need to turn up in suitable outdoor clothing and ready to get stuck in. No booking required, which makes it easy to fit around your half-term plans.
Whether your little ones have never touched a trowel or already fancy themselves as keen gardeners, this is a lovely way to spend an afternoon outdoors together. It's also a nice chance to meet other families while making the most of one of Leeds's most beautiful green spaces.
