Baby Signing and Toddler Talking

TinyTalk offers baby signing and toddler talking classes designed to support early language development and communication skills. Classes combine British Sign Language with spoken language, giving babies and toddlers the tools to express themselves before they can talk. The instructor, Jenni Blackham, studied British Sign Language as part of her linguistics degree and has used signing with her own children from birth, witnessing firsthand how it reduces frustration and accelerates language development.

Each session uses interactive songs, rhymes, stories and play-based activities to introduce signs in a natural, engaging way. Parents and carers receive practical guidance on how to continue signing at home, embedding these communication strategies into everyday routines. Beyond the learning itself, TinyTalk classes provide valuable social time for parents and carers to connect with other families in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
