Create something beautiful together at this parent and child fused glass taster session. You and your little one will work side by side to design and make your own piece of fused glass, learning the fundamentals of this lovely craft in a relaxed, welcoming studio environment.

The Little Biscuit team will guide you through each step, so don't worry if you've never done it before. Once your glass is fired, you'll have a unique handmade keepsake to take home and treasure. It's a perfect way to spend quality time making something together, with plenty of hands-on fun and a real sense of achievement at the end.

What to bring

  • A small bag or container to safely carry your finished glass piece home
  • Water bottles to stay hydrated during the session
  • An apron or change of clothes to protect against any glass dust or marks
  • A small towel or cloth, as glass can leave fingerprints that may need wiping

Top tips

  • Arrive 10 minutes early so your child can get comfortable in the space before you start creating, which really helps younger ones settle in better
  • Ask the studio team about how fused glass pieces are cooled and collected, as pieces need time after firing - they'll let you know if you take it home straight away or need to collect it later
  • Younger children will need you close by for encouragement and guidance throughout, so this is a proper hands-on activity for you both rather than something they'll do independently
  • Check the studio's website or give them a call beforehand to confirm any age or size considerations, as very young children might need adapted workstations or different guidance
