Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival

Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival is one of West Yorkshire's biggest autumn events, running from 26th September to 1st November 2026 at Ravensknowle Farm in Pontefract. The farm grows over 300,000 pumpkins across its fields, with more than 40 different varieties to choose from, including classic giant orange, white, green, and striped types. Tickets must be pre-booked online with timed arrival slots, and children aged three and under get in free.

There is plenty to keep the whole family busy beyond the picking fields. Tractor rides, archery, vintage fairground rides, Witches' Storytime, and daily fancy dress competitions on the upgraded stage all feature, alongside live music acts on selected dates. New for 2026, there is also a vintage Land Rover photo installation and a Pumpkin Pilates session on the opening weekend.

When you need a break from the fields, Moo Café serves seasonal pumpkin specials, Copleys Kitchen does gelato sundaes, and the Farm Shop sells freshly baked pumpkin bread. Wear sturdy wellies or boots as you will be walking through working farm fields, and leave time to browse the shop on your way out.

This is a great shout for families with children of all ages, particularly across October half term when the farm is at its liveliest. It is the kind of day out where you arrive for the pumpkins and end up staying for everything else.
