Mirfield Town Council is hosting a free Family Fun Day and Picnic at Mirfield Showground on Saturday 9th May 2026. The event brings together live music, entertainment, bouncy castles and food pop-ups, with something to keep all ages happy throughout the day.
It is a relaxed, outdoor occasion with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the surroundings at Huddersfield Road. Food vendors will be on site, so you can pick up refreshments without needing to pack a full picnic, though bringing a blanket and settling in for the day is very much the spirit of it.
Whether you have toddlers who will make a beeline for the bouncy castles or older children who will enjoy the live music and entertainment, the day is set up to work for the whole family. Entry is free, making it a genuinely accessible day out in the heart of Mirfield.
