Millbeck Approach Playground

Millbeck Approach Playground is a recently rebuilt, fenced play space in Morley, sometimes known as Magpie Lane playground. The equipment includes climbing frames, castles and towers, slides, swings, and a sandpit in the centre, making it well suited to toddlers and younger children. A CCTV camera has been installed to help tackle anti-social behaviour in the area.

The playground is open around the clock, every day of the week, and is fully accessible with wide open paths and some accessible play equipment. Pushchairs get around easily, and there are several benches dotted about for grown-ups to sit while the kids play. Rubbish bins are on site, though it is worth knowing that litter can be an issue, so it is one of those spots where a bit of community spirit goes a long way.

There are no toilets at the playground itself, but the nearest ones are about a five-minute walk up Magpie Lane at the Gardeners Arms. If you fancy a bite after your visit, Hong Kong Chef, a small Chinese takeaway, is a short walk away on Wide Lane.
