About this place
Harewood's Woodland Wonderland is a woodland play area set within the grounds of Harewood House in Leeds, open every day from 10am to 5pm. The centrepiece is a beautifully crafted willow maze, which gives children a real sense of adventure among the trees. It sits within a wider estate that rewards a good walk, so expect to spend a fair bit of time outdoors.
To reach it, walk past the front of Harewood House back towards the pay booths, then turn left just before them. The entrance to the woodland play area will be on your right. It is worth knowing that the site has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, so pushchairs and wheels are catered for.
The attraction tends to suit younger children particularly well, though the woodland setting and the willow maze give families with a range of ages something to enjoy together. It is the kind of place that works best when you are not rushing, so factor in time to wander.
