IZZY BIZZY Toddler Yoga classes introduce young children to yoga through themed sessions that blend story, song and play. Each class is designed around a different toddler-friendly theme, making yoga accessible and engaging for children aged 1 to 5 years.

The sessions use simple poses, often named after animals or characters from stories, combined with breathing exercises and relaxation time to help develop body awareness, balance and coordination. Parents participate throughout each session, supporting their child and creating a bonding experience whilst contributing to their toddler's physical and emotional development. Classes are held at Salem Church Hall in Burley-in-Wharfedale and are led by Faye, a qualified yoga teacher trained through Yogakidz.

What to bring

Water bottle for your toddler
Small blanket or mat if not provided by the venue
A comfort item or toy to help with transitions between activities
Spare clothes in case of accidents

What to expect

A warm-up with music and movement to engage and settle the children
Simple yoga poses adapted for toddlers, often introduced through animal names or story characters
Breathing exercises and guided relaxation time, possibly using props such as scarves or soft toys
Active parent participation to help guide your child through poses and activities
A calm closing with quiet time or a goodbye song to wind down the session
