Hop aboard a REAL steam train and journey to the North Pole, where you’ll visit Santa in his magical grotto, meet a cheeky Elf, and enjoy a spectacular Christmas Magic Show with Spike the Elf.
With festive fun, Christmas magic and plenty of surprises along the way, The Santa Express is a Christmas experience the whole family will love.

What to bring
- Warm layers and a waterproof coat
- Comfortable shoes for walking the site
- Camera or phone for photos (a Polaroid moment with Santa is included in First Class)
- Reindeer food bag to take home (made on site)
- Booking confirmation and any proof of concession if applicable
Top tips
- Book early - First Class Christmas seats are limited and sell out fast.
- Be on the platform 15 minutes before departure or you risk missing your train.
- If your child's age falls near the end of a gift category, book the next age up.
- The 24th December evening service includes fireworks - skip it if your little ones are noise-sensitive.
- Discounts, vouchers and concession passes are not valid here, so budget full price.
Infants under 12 months can attend with a gift ticket (£7.95). Age-appropriate gifts provided for ages under 12 months, 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-13 years, and 14-17 years.
