About this event
Pudsey Carnival is a free, community-run annual event held at Queens Park, off Victoria Road in Pudsey. Originally started in 1898 and revived in 1988, it is now in its 37th consecutive year and takes place on Saturday 16th May 2026. Each year the carnival raises money for a good cause, and since 2014 the focus has been funding the installation and maintenance of public access defibrillators across Pudsey, with 27 now in place across the town.
The day is packed with things to do for all ages. Expect a traditional parade, Punch and Judy shows, birds of prey, a dog show with agility, classic cars, crazy golf, bubble workshops, activity marquees, trampolines, bouncy slides, climbing walls, and a large funfair. There is also live music and performances throughout the day, plenty of food stalls, and Hook a Duck for the younger ones.
Queens Park is well served by public transport, with Pudsey Bus Station less than a ten-minute walk away and numerous bus routes passing through the town centre. If you are driving, there is limited free car parking nearby off Robin Lane, Lidgett Hill, and behind Pudsey Leisure Centre, though these spots tend to fill up quickly on carnival day so arriving early or coming by bus is worth considering.
