About this place
The Cottage Tea Room is a charming little café in the village of Brinscall, sitting at the foot of the West Pennine Moors. It's a favourite stop for walkers, cyclists, and runners coming off the hills, and it's equally good for a relaxed family outing.
The menu runs from breakfast with all-day breakfast and toasties through to afternoon tea, Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle cake, and the food is allergy-friendly too.
The tea room has both indoor and outdoor seating, and eating outside in the courtyard area is a real treat on a fine day. There's even a resident cat called Charlie who has been known to join guests at their tables. The atmosphere is warm and unhurried, and the staff are genuinely attentive.
