Playworld Huddersfield

Playworld is one of Yorkshire's biggest indoor play centres, sitting in Marsh about two miles from Huddersfield town centre. The main draw is a four-storey soft play frame packed with twisty slides, climbing zones, obstacles and a giant ball pool, all suitable for children from around six months up to ten years old. There's also a dedicated area for babies and toddlers, and term-time Toddler and Tots sessions run on Thursdays and Fridays.

On top of the soft play, there's an indoor roller-skating rink where kids can hire skates and take to the rink, and adults are welcome to join in too. Skate and Play tickets cover both the rink and the soft play in one go, which is good value if your lot want to do both. Birthday parties are well catered for, with private world-themed party rooms and options to add roller skating or extra party bits.

When you need a sit-down, the on-site World Street Kitchen serves hot meals, snacks, children's favourites and dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world, alongside barista coffee. The Indian mixed grill in particular gets a lot of love. There's plenty of seating so you can keep an eye on the kids while you eat.

Playworld is open Thursday to Friday from 9:30am and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00am, closing at 7pm on weekdays and 6pm at weekends (it's closed Monday to Wednesday). Hours can shift during school holidays and bank holidays, so it's worth checking their website or social media before you head over. Don't forget socks for the soft play.
