About this place
Gigi's is a small, family-run Italian restaurant that has been serving the people of Pudsey since 2009. The son of a local restaurateur opened it in honour of his father, and that family spirit comes through in everything from the warm welcome to the classic Italian pizzeria-style tables and chairs beneath high ceilings with wooden beams. It is the kind of place that feels genuinely cosy rather than cramped, though it is worth knowing that tables are fairly close together when it is busy.
The menu covers all the Italian classics you would hope for: a good range of pizzas, pasta dishes, risottos, and mains including chicken, veal, steak, and fresh fish. Starters like the homemade soup, garlic bread, and mozzarella in carrozza are well worth ordering, and the kitchen also does takeaway collection if you would rather eat at home. There is a proper wine list too, with Italian bottles at various price points.
Booking is advisable as the restaurant has limited spaces, and they ask that you ring them directly rather than using third-party booking sites.
