About this place
Flamingo Land Resort combines a theme park with a working zoo and on-site accommodation, making it a genuine all-day destination for families. The park features rollercoasters and rides suited to various ages, from gentle options for younger children to more thrilling attractions for older kids and adults.
The zoo element is a real draw, with keeper talks and animal feeding times that add educational value to your visit. If you're planning an overnight stay, the on-site caravan and camping pitches include park entry in the price, which represents good value for a full day or more.
The park operates seasonally, so it's worth checking what's open before you visit, particularly outside the main school holiday periods when some attractions may have reduced hours or closures.

What to bring
- Sun cream and hats, even in cooler months, as much of the park is exposed
- Comfortable walking shoes with good grip for navigating between attractions and zoo areas
- Waterproof jacket or layers, as weather can change and some queues are outdoors
- Refillable water bottles and snacks to keep costs down compared to on-site food prices
- A small backpack or bag for any purchases, souvenirs or items you pick up during the day
Top tips
- Visit during term time rather than school holidays for significantly shorter queues and a more relaxed pace
- Arrive right when the park opens to tackle popular rides before queues build
- Check the daily schedule on arrival for keeper talks and animal feeding times at the zoo, and plan your route around these
- Be aware that closing times can be earlier than advertised during lower-season visits, so prioritise must-do rides early in your day
- If you're staying overnight in a caravan or tent, your park entry is included, making it excellent value for families wanting a longer break
- Winter and off-season visits mean fewer rides open and some animals may be housed indoors, but queues are virtually non-existent
