Double Eleven Cafe

Double Eleven Cafe is an independent cafe in Leeds serving freshly prepared breakfast and brunch, artisan sandwiches, seasonal salads, sweet treats and speciality coffee. It sits within the Tank Room at Roundhouse Business Park on Wellington Road, right next to the canal, and the building has been beautifully transformed from a former MOT garage into a light, airy space with lofty ceilings, big windows and blue and white tiles alongside exposed brickwork.

The brunch menu covers the likes of avocado toast, shakshuka, Turkish eggs and nourishing bowls, all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Reviewers have flagged the biscoff buns and apple crumble bakes as worth seeking out, and the coffee gets consistently strong praise. There is also a ceramics shop next door if you fancy a browse after your meal.

The cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4:30 pm and is closed on Mondays. As well as eating in, you can order catering platters for delivery or collection, with options including artisan sandwich platters, classic baguettes, seasonal salads and sweet treat platters. All catering orders need at least 48 hours' notice.

It is a solid spot for a relaxed family brunch or a mid-morning coffee stop, and the canal-side setting makes it a pleasant outing in its own right. Being an independent, it has that neighbourhood feel that makes it easy to linger a little longer than planned.
