Diggerland Yorkshire is a unique amusement centre where children (and adults) can operate real diggers, dumpers, and bulldozers in a safe, supervised environment. This isn't a traditional theme park but rather a hands-on experience where visitors get behind the controls of actual construction equipment. There's also a buried treasure dig, a swing suspended in a giant JCB scoop, and various other attractions that appeal to children who love trucks and machinery.

- Sun cream and hats, as much of the experience is outdoors operating machinery
- Waterproof jackets and wellies, especially after rain when the ground may be muddy
- Change of clothes, as children often get dirty operating the equipment
- Snacks and a water bottle to keep children hydrated throughout the day
- Camera to capture photos of the children at the controls

- Book in advance, especially for special digger racing events which take place on the last Saturday of each month at 5pm and offer a more exclusive experience
- Arrive early to maximise the number of attractions you can experience, as popular rides can have queues during peak times
- Wear clothes that can get dirty, as operating real machinery means children will likely get mud and dust on their outfits
- Take advantage of the quieter last Saturday evening racing events if your children are keen on the digger racing experience
- Check the weather before visiting, as many attractions are weather-dependent and may close in heavy rain
