Cheeky Monkeys

Cheeky Monkeys is an adventure and soft play centre in Wakefield for children aged 0 to 10. It's a big, open-plan play gym with separate areas for different ages, including a dedicated toddler zone that older children tend to respect and leave to the little ones. Play sessions are two hours long and run at set start times, so you'll need to book online in advance as it fills up quickly and walk-ins can't be guaranteed entry. There's also a cafe on site where you can grab a coffee and something to eat while the kids play, though during busy periods like half term it's worth bearing in mind that food can take a little while to come out.

Birthday parties are catered for with packages to suit different budgets, and the team gets good marks for being helpful and making the day feel special. The venue also runs regular parent and toddler events, so it's worth checking the events page before you visit.

The centre is open most days from 9:30am, with slightly later starts at weekends from 10:00am, and is closed on Tuesdays. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet on site, though some visitors have noted that the main entrance involves steps, so if you're coming with a pushchair or mobility aid it's worth ringing ahead to ask about the best way in.
