Book on provider's websiteTop of the Rock offers one-to-one music lessons in drums, guitar, piano and vocals at their purpose-built Leeds studio. All lessons are tailored to the individual learner, whether they're complete beginners or already playing. Your tutor will work with music you enjoy, at a pace that suits you, with no fixed syllabus or pressure to follow a particular direction. Some pupils work towards graded exams with Trinity or Rockschool, whilst others learn purely for enjoyment.
Tutors are working musicians who perform and record alongside their teaching, bringing real experience from stages and studios into the lesson room. Song choice is central to the approach, so you pick the music you want to learn, which keeps lessons engaging and makes practice feel purposeful rather than a chore. Lessons are available in 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute sessions, and your first lesson is completely free with no commitment required.
Beyond individual lessons, Top of the Rock runs regular showcases and live performance events where pupils get to play in front of an audience. The studio is located at Swinnow Grange Mills with free parking on site, well-equipped teaching rooms, and quality instruments.
