The Swim Team - Scholes

The Swim Team at Scholes Elmet Primary School is a family-run swimming school with over 20 years' experience teaching children to swim in Leeds. Classes are kept small with a 5:1 child-to-instructor ratio, and all teachers are in the water with children, providing hands-on support and guidance. The programme is Swim England-affiliated and focuses on building water confidence first, then developing proper technique across a range of strokes. All instructors are DBS-checked and trained in water safety, creating a secure environment where children can progress at their own pace.

The Swim Team's approach prioritises confidence building and making swimming fun, with children earning certificates and badges to mark their progress. Lessons are structured to help children develop the skills and confidence needed to swim safely in any aquatic environment, from local pools to holiday destinations. Parents are welcome to watch lessons from the poolside and see their child's development session by session.

The venue also offers a stay-and-play area with toys, games, and a bouncy castle for children to use before or after their lesson.
