The Marshall's School of Music is a music school based at Black Dyke Mills in Queensbury, Bradford, offering one-to-one lessons for children aged 4 and upwards (as well as adults) in singing, guitar, piano and keyboard, drums, and bass. Lessons are built around what the student actually wants to learn rather than working through outdated books, and the tutors are industry specialists who can guide pupils towards grades or simply help them play the music they love.
If sitting down for a solo lesson is not your child's thing, there are also band programmes grouped by age: Little Rock (4-6), Junior Rock (6-7), Big Rock (7-11), and Teen Rock (12-17). All tutors go through a thorough interview process, and the school prides itself on being a safe, fun environment where children can build confidence through musical progress. The school is open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9pm and is closed at weekends. You can book a free taster lesson before committing, which is a handy way to see whether your child clicks with their tutor and the style of teaching.
