About this activity
Music Bugs offers sensory music classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers across Leeds and surrounding areas including Alwoodley, Headingley, Horsforth, Meanwood, Moortown, Roundhay and Shadwell. Classes are run by Vicky and Beccy in a friendly, informal atmosphere with an emphasis on enjoyment through singing, music-making and interactive props such as finger puppets and bubble machines. Research demonstrates that regular participation in singing songs and rhymes helps widen children's vocabulary and listening skills, which are essential for learning to read, write and communicate.
The classes are designed to encourage children to socialise and develop confidence in a creative and stimulating environment. Children often begin clapping in time to music and gain confidence to sing along, with many continuing to enjoy their favourite songs at preschool and with friends.
