Explore Kirkstall Abbey in a whole new way this summer with Birds, Bees, Bats & Bugs, a family-friendly nature trail running throughout the school holidays.

As you wander around the beautiful abbey ruins and grounds, you'll discover a collection of imaginative handmade creatures, including pompom bees, flowery bats, knitted owls and even cheeky chip-stealing seagulls.

Alongside the trail, families can enjoy a programme of themed activities during the holidays, including:

🐝 Arty activities on Tuesday mornings

🧱 LEGO wildlife gardens on Wednesday mornings

🎨 Craft afternoons on Thursdays

It's a lovely way to encourage children to explore nature while enjoying one of Leeds' most iconic historic landmarks.

The event is drop in, so you can visit at any time during opening hours and enjoy the trail at your own pace.
